Is Microsoft hiring freeze still going on? I attended interviews in June end for SDE opening in Azure & cleared it. Post which I got to know that the position went to on hold & dint hear back anything from HR. Do they even come back once the freeze is lifted? Does it make sense to wait?

Pretty new here! Great news ..JOB offer …however the company is lowballing salary ..I informed recruiter Amount was not acceptable …sent off the salary requirement letter …. Nail biting ..Why waste my time again …she didn’t know the budget… so we proceeded forward, her reply ..advised me to talk w hiring team but in final interview there was no opportunity to speak abt salary w hiring team ….Have to say I enjoy the posts & it’s a decent networking site!!

A successful small startup in NYC doing PE/niche executive recruiting and 2. a fairly reputable PE consulting group in Austin. How do you find a new opportunity after 1 month? What do you put on your resume to avoid immediate rejection? Left a solid long term SR managing role for a more JR sole contributor position because of hiring attorney vision of what we can do together and more money. Less then week into role hiring attorney is gone. Still have the salary increase but am seeing all the reason he (and others) are leaving. Respected company but legal department has issues and no program for promotion.

I have 9.5 yrs of experience and am currently level 62 in Microsoft. I feel I should be Senior SE in Microsoft (level 63) but when I got microsoft offer last year the HR said it is the maximum they can give. Fixed base is 28 LPA. There is an upcoming appraisal cycle in September, so I wanted to ask how much can I expect Microsoft to adjust the base salary in this appraisal cycle ( given my performance was decent) ?
