Hi Fishes, Can Anyone please tell, one of my friend joined Tech M in August, At the time of joining she was 3 months pregnant and now shes worrying about her manager. She wants to inform them about her pregnancy; is it right time to inform? Or she needs to wait for 6 more months for that to inform? Anyone please clearify.. Parthenon is completely separated and they are fairly well compensated. Their MBA hires I believe get paid more than anyone in MBB or Big 4.
On an unrelated note, a Parthenon partner used the word "cum stains" at an offer dinner...and later bragged about how he used to golf with a certain orange nuclear war inclined world leader
^seniors barely even make that much
I've heard Parthenon is a sweat shop. The partner who made me the offer during undergrad said 100 hour weeks happen. Also every single one of their summers re-recruited for MBB/ATK/OW so I don't think compensation should ever be the only factor
I think they're well regarded in recruiting (above the rest of Big4) but no one has them as their first choice. Never have sold work against them. They mostly do corp and a ton of DD
Well level of talent is different
Parthenon, TAS, PI and different groups all have different comp and bonus values
Their undergrad hires make like 90k
Gotta get top talent by paying them more.
Parthenon has much higher base, but much lower bonus potential. $170k base, up to $9k bonus. Source: management consulted (which is consistent with what they offered out of my MBA program)
You do travel less. They also have a two case model: you work on two projects at once.
Parthenon paid more than MBB in my year's offering.
Parthenon base is 170 out of MBA isn't it? With bonus of ~25k
It was 170 3 years ago. I don't work there though so don't know the new figures.
I've heard Parthenon doesn't ask you to travel every week. Its a different model. Is that true?
@McKs: is Parthenon well respected? We don't hear anything about them
I worked there for 2 years. Great culture. Nicest people you'll ever meet in the industry, and similar level of talent. Similar worklife balance to BCG even with 2 cases because hyper efficient model. But mostly DD work.
@BCG2, how many hours a week?
I'd say 65 on average with flex into 75 in bad weeks. Weekends protected mostly. Also no travel
That's better than what I've heard from peers there. NYC folks routinely do 80 I've heard with weekends expected
Pre or Post MBAs?
