Did EY Canada promote everyone a year early or something? I saw a couple of promotions on my LinkedIn that were 🤔 and then saw EY’s official post that they had the largest number of promotions ever. I’m thinking this was a product of having to give large wage hikes like all B4, i.e. if you get a 15-20% bump then we need to bump your position to maintain our ranges long-term, and/or we are going to make you earn your new $ even if you may not be ready for the new title.

As current PwC Consulting (ex D and Ex ACN). PwC Looks to be stronger than other firms, tons of investment and assets, team has very great culture (makes me jealous not part of it); my understanding is that pay is better. PM me and happy to chat more and provide connections
What’s the typical market salary for workday SM? I’m making 141k as an M and I guess I’m underpaid. If my promotion doesn’t come this summer, I’ll start looking out.
Really? $141 seems in line for WD Manager tbh. But I've heard they are coming up with a technical stream to help some of this.
As a manager to SM, it is pretty easy to get a good pay bump if you are really performing as the measures are clear.
1. Did you manage a complex client or constantly need the SM around.
2. Did you develop "in demand" Associates and Senior Associates (everyone wants them)
3. Did you help drive some big sales and growth
4. Are you converting your experience into intellectual capital (new tools, frameworks, approaches) to scale your expertise to more junior / inexperienced team members
If you can be clear on these points the firm generally is good at recognizing this. But a lot of people think just doing their job technically well will get them rewarded (and it does a bit). But to get the big rewards you need to be showing the above - that you are helping multiply success across the practice.
