I wouldn't know because when I interviewed there, the associate was so busy answering emails on a live deal that I never got to talk to her.

I've heard nothing good about the SF office.

likesmart

I haven’t heard great things and I’m based in SF

like

This. In SF, they have a not-great rep as a place to work on the corporate side.

like

I too have also heard only negative things specifically about the SF office

like

Very political in SF. senior partners are classic rainmakers. They’re not involved in anything but think they run the world. They also will fire you if you piss them off.

like

Avoid the SF office like the plague

In what respect? It’s still Biglaw and subject to the same issues every other firm has.

like

Very, very group and office dependent. The firm definitely likes to tout that is for an incredible culture, but like A1 said, it’s absolutely still BigLaw. The overall firm culture is generally fine, but there are some notable standouts/tough groups.

like

What group?

Is this true of the NYC office as well?

Did you make a mistake working in BigLaw? Why?

It's super frustrating to be "time poor".

That's seemingly just the nature of working in Biglaw.

But every day you have the option to buy back your time.

How do you buy back time?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.

Consider this…

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal?
