For analytics fishes that switched over to Google, I have a masters degree in engineering from UVA and over 5 years of operational data science and operations research work experience. I have finally found the courage to move to industry and could use some help in form of a referral and what a typical analytics interview entails at Google . Please help me out .

How’s your work load been?
I’m having an interview with FDD PwC next week and was told besides the case interview, there would be 2 others on relationships and business acumen. Any insights on what particularly these two interviews entail, especially the business acumen one? It seems like the typical behavioral interviews but wanted to make sure if there’s something to be aware of or how to best prepare for them. Thanks!

All of the Big Four are a time and grade recognition and reward system vs a meritocracy - at all levels including partners. I can’t tell you how many times when I was back at B4 that I was told after getting a crappy raise that “I was making the most of everyone my level” - the problem is that the delta between the best and the worst performers is small and limited by a compensation band at each level. For some people that model works but for high performers it’s extremely frustrating.
Generally (at least on the tax side) we have revenue goals and higher the revenue, the better the bonus

Delta is pretty significant..at least 40k at M2 level in NYC and would be compounded for SM level

I think we have a different definition of what is significant.....
