Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

Bain & Company Is it truly easier to get in a smaller MBB office?
Have heard a lot for different opinions on these. The logic is that it’s easier because there is a lot of supply in cities like NY, Chicago and SF, but the counter argument is that the offices with less supply are also way smaller and have a lot less demand.

I think the same way, but I guess Deloitte would say we gave you an opportunity of coming to US, you should feel happy about it and bla blah.
Plus they won't even give you a choice to transfer to US, there is so much red tape around it.
If you are on h1b, it is best to switch to a US company as soon as possible. If you want to stay in US.
SC1, How different is your salary from what folks based out of US make? Aren’t you compensated on par with direct US hires?
Completely agree..bonus in INR is absolutely insane and I believe was done so USI can profit higher margins..unfortunately our group is pretty small and no one in the higher ups care so much among the broader scheme of changes happening in the firm. If you’re in h1b best is to move out or transfer if on L1b.. too much red tape there (again done I believe as USI does not lose want to lose revenue from landed resources)
It’s funny because Deloitte is struggling with resources in US and recruiting big but discouraging internal transfers and forcing ppl to consider leaving the firm
