Eveyone is expecting that, but I don’t think it will happen soon. Also, the prices will keep increasing irrespective of any slowdown happening.
If you get a better deal than go ahead and take it. Don’t wait for prices to come down.
Let’s say a flat costs 50L right now and you want to wait for 2 years as prices will come down, minimum hike assumed is 5% yoy, then you will get a cost of 55L. Now if slowdown comes, assume the price to come low by 5%, in that case, you will still pay at-least 50L.
Not worth it.

Let me make one thing very clear, buying personal home is not a financial but an emotional decision. If you’re certain about staying in same city for long, you can go ahead and buy. If not, better to rent unless ur sure. I don’t see price coming down any soon.
