You must start investing in Mutual funds. Just choose 2-3 schemes and start SIP. For suggestion you can start with 1 Large Cap, 1 multicap & 1tax Saver ELSS fund for now.

Start slowly. Do the first step.. Budget. Figure out how much you can invest and then start SIP and an RD. Sips will be for your long term needs. RD to build your liquidity/ emergency fund.

Not a big problem if you haven't invested yet (except ppf). If you haven't taken any loans, you are way ahead of most people!

How would you ask to transfer to another office within your firm?

I lateraled from one firm in city A to another firm city B. During the interview process, I made a big deal about how I badly I wanted to be in B, despite only being barred in A. They hired me, paid for my bar courses, the works.

Now I find myself in a position where I need to leave B due to personal issues. Thinking of going to DCso I can just waive in.

It's been less than a year since I've joined; is it too soon to ask this?

My SO and I have been together for 2 years. Plan to propose next year. However, I’ve been struggling with this and need advice. My SO works for an NGO that does great work, but gets paid ~60k. Contd.

Has anyone made the switch from tax to private client and if so what has your experience been?

How do you evaluate the financial health/viability of a startup you’re interviewing with? Are there specific questions you ask and/or external research you do? I know any company will put its best foot forward during interviews, so I’m trying to figure out to accurately evaluate those statements.

I feel like I've been living under a rock for ~5 yrs. I was happy and blowing off money with the thinking that I'll start saving once I start earning more.

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.

Hello everyone, need a help from you.

Previously my HRA amount was 96000 per annum so I was submitting a rental agreement of full hra without giving pan card details of myself and first party.

Now I have recently joined a new company and here hra is 2.7LPA.

How can I claim the full hra amount? I live in a rented house where agreement is between owner and my dad. Also owner will not accept for a fake agreement too.

Any other alternative do I have to claim HRA? Your inputs are welcome here

So the National Consumer Helpline really works.
I had filed a complaint against Goibibo, who delayed my flight cancellation request until 1 day before departure hence the airline charged a higher cancellation amount.

A friend of mine introduced me to the portal when I filed a complaint explaining the matter in detail, uploading Twitter DM screenshots, where the company was clearly denying responsibilities on the above.

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

Hi fishes,
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
