Is your company making statements about the Israel/ Palenstine war? And or are you making statements on social media?

Yes I’ve seen various large MNCs especially US ones putting out statements. I also know various organising town halls or plenaries for discussion.

Pretty neutral. Stand by colleagues who is in Israel. Safety and well-being of colleagues and their families is our top priority. Leaders are in talk with the office to coordinate assistance to help colleagues.

My company sent emails about the humanitarian crisis in Israel, very clearly said they stand with Israel and provided links to donate to Israel relief funds. No mention of Palestinians.

That’s sad, would be very beneficial for culture to show ongoing support and reinforce strong values.

I've been watching the news recently. Israel has been so good with their defense for so many years that no country was able to penetrate them. Yet, any thought of violence especially war between countries is really scary to be honest.

We haven't yet, no. It's a very sensitive topic and I imagine the people at the top are struggling to figure out how to word their statement. At the same time, if something isn't said soon, silence could get us in trouble, too. Not an easy line to walk.

Yes, Im having the same struggle as well. Im going to do an internal session with team members who would like to discuss what's going but have advised leadership not to make a company statement.

Came here to ask this same question.. so far, my company has not made a statement although there is some chatter in our slack channels

Not even sure what I think should be said or done, TBH

Any tips or words of advice to get out of my mental rut?

Hi - I am a career pivot from higher education into tech and have final round interviews for a DEI Coordinator role (which I'm super excited for). I am meeting with three people that I would be partnering with for the job and it was shared with me that these interviews will mainly be behavioral as well as questions on my technical skills. Does anyone have any resources to help me prepare for this? Anything is greatly appreciated!

I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous.
