It always surprises me how companies expect you to go above and beyond just to prove you’re ready for the next role, even when you’re already doing an amazing job. How much is enough? Haven’t you already shown your value to get this far? At some point, your work should speak for itself.

Being ghosted by someone who I thought was genuine. We were seeing each other for over a month (I know it’s not long), but everything went so well until he just disappeared completely for a few days. It’s not my first time being ghosted, I was ghosted by a guy who I was dating for over a year. I tell myself if I can get over that, I can get over this. But it still hurts so much right now 💔 I could use some extra support today

I’m trying to buy my first house and my wife and I have a few IRAs from previous employers (Roth and non Roth). I read I won’t be penalized if I take out upto 10k from my IRAs for a first time house (except for taxes on the non-Roth accounts). I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any
