It seems like any role I go to at the next level up is going to be a drastic pay cut (~$20k), and I can’t get promoted here. Have a potential offer for a bank at the VP level but it’s a lead analyst role, so it seems again like a lateral, plus 20k less than what I make, plus hybrid (currently work remote).
When would you take a pay cut for re-starting your career?

Relatively new in Big4 M&A advisory doing mostly integration work with some pre deal DD mixed in. I recently heard L.E.K. Consulting places well in MM PE but don't know much about them otherwise. Was interested if anyone had insight into whether a jump to their M&A or PE groups would be possible. In terms of background, I have an undergrad business degree from a T20 school and graduated a T14 law school as well.
