Yeah.. I don't like being the bearer of bad news either, but this is not your fault. Don't feel that it is. What are you most concerned about? I don't know the price, as it depends on the company and your location, but you could say something like: 'Hey, just a heads-up, our AC stopped cooling last night.' It’s still blowing air but not doing much else. I called for a technician, and we’ll know more soon, but I just wanted to keep you in the loop. I’ll keep you updated once we get the diagnosis and cost estimate.”
I mean my boss is nice but he freaks out about cost a lot so it stresses me out 😅
Speaking from experience your best option until repairs are done is to crack a couple of doors open to get a breeze in the store, at least that’s what we did both times it’s happened here
Yeah that works if it’s cool outside - but it’s been stifling outside too lately…
You just have to tell him in as clear language as possible. It's not your fault it broke and he's just going to have to deal with the cost.
Yeah thankfully not my fault - thank goodness!
The best thing to do is just let them know as soon as you can. The cost will depend on what's happened, if it's covered by warranty, and so on. Plus, having to get it repaired on a weekend. So your boss might not like it, but, hey, these things happen, it's part of doing business.
Our kitchen is i wanna say about 8 feet wide maybe with a cold & hot side & expo splitting the 2. Our ac in the kitchen went out end of last week, they just came to fix it yesterday because they put the ticket in for it late. Our dishwasher also had been broken for over 3 weeks & our rethermaolizer went out too because our outlets are messed up where it is set up. Our dining room ac was broken last month and i had to call out one day because the previous day it was reading 80° INSIDE & we have about 12 GIANT windows, it's unbearable. Im saying all this to say, it definitely isn't your fault. Things just happen, sometimes all at once. 😅 But just make them aware ASAP !!
Hope your GM fixed all those things! It’s hard to work in a hot environment - that’s for sure!
It depends on the size of your AC and what needs to be fixed. But if it’s a commercial unit, it’s not going to be cheap. It might be covered under insurance though.
Not covered by insurance … gonna be a costly fix… oh well - Not my fault at least!
