It's almost the end of February and it's making me realize how quickly time is flying. Have you ever had the feeling that time is standing still and yet at other times it's racing past like you're standing still?

I'm trying to hold onto what matters (family, health & security) and wonder if I should re-prioritize to include something more. How do you prioritize? Also, how and/or when does it change?

Moved to the Indy area with a remote job 1.5 years ago and have loved it. Wife and I plan to stay for the long term with a growing family. I’d like to change jobs to something local. I am currently a care coordinator with one of the big insurance companies. I want off the phone, I have been applying for Rn jobs in utilization but have not gotten the last 5-6-7 I applied for, I lost count… I am thinking more analytics and business side of things now. I finished my MSN LM to maybe stand out from the large amount of applicants they get. BUT I have no experience in analytics.. so I have a chance? How do I get training in tableau, sql, interqual, project management, alteryx..

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Does anyone have advice on transitioning from insurance to another industry? I am Vice President of a small commercial brokerage- basically I do everything except write the checks. I want to move to a more structured corporate role in marketing or strategy somewhere like American Express or JP Morgan. Any thoughts? Anyone successfully pivoted? I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. Took 2 years off and built a health & wellness coaching platform for my wife (medical provider). Then, the last 2.5 yrs, have been a top producer in Saas sales as a senior account executive. I’ve been told I would make a great COO someday and I’m ready to take the next step into leadership. Who/what should I be targeting next?

I’m curious to hear which insurance company has the best work life balance for a senior commercial or middle market underwriting role. I currently only handle new business, which I love, but see that other companies like liberty make you handle new business and renewals. Any insight is appreciated.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? Hey everyone! I am currently working as a BA 3 on market expansion and I want to pivot to financial services. I’d love to do strategy, internal consulting, or BA. Downside is that I don’t have a business degree, I studied healthcare admin. Is that a big deal, especially considering my experience?

Confused as to when to jump from consulting. I joined a T2 consulting firm after MBA and working from 9 months but the job made me anxious and personal health took a hit. I had decided to complete a year before switching out but just got an opportunity in CEO's office of an energy company. Should I switch now or complete a year and find something else?

I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic.
