It’s been over 30 days since I moved out of my apartment and I have had no contact regarding the return of my security deposit or an itemized list. California law says they need to provide the returned deposit or itemized list within 21 days. Why would any landlord or company risk being taken to small claims and court and potentially having to pay double the amount back! So dumb!
