It's driving me nuts how many companies just disappear after we send them a proposal. Last year, we put a ton of work into proposals, and seriously, over half of the leads just vanished after they received their proposal. No reply, nothing. We called and emailed, but they ignored us. It's so rude, isn't it? If you're going to talk to us about a proposal, at least have the decency to say "no thanks" if that's the answer. What's up with that? Is anyone else seeing this trend?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve
