Anyone at Google open to networking? My new role (haven’t started yet) is senior and I want to start building my network in advance so I don’t feel so lost and alone at such a big company when I join!! I love getting to know people! If you’re open to getting to know a Noogler and be part of my network/support system, I’d really love to chat and learn about you/what you do/where your group fits into the big picture. Google DM me :) 🙏🏻

If drinking neat, Glencairn or bust. Is that what you are referring to as Tulip?
Copita with cigar, Rock glass with a steak
I could get behind this.
Depends if you are having it neat/water vs on the rocks :)
Copita focuses the aroma on your nose better. I use it with almost anything I drink neat
The small mouth glasses are designed to limit how much goes up your nose - the high proof of whiskey means a lot of aerosolized alcohols which will overpower your smell receptors and reduce your ability to taste the complexity.
If they were meant to get aromas to your nose then you’d be using a wide body glass (more surface area to accelerate evaporation, especially when swirling) that you can shove your nose into - like a red wine glass or a brandy snifter.

That is a big boy bottle 👀 any chance you’re in Chicago?
Glencairn for sure
Mason jar 🫙
Love this one. Straight out of Kentucky.
I’m a fan of the rocks glass, personally.
I do like to use a glencairn glass for nice whiskies that aren’t my day to day pours for some of the reasons listed here, but 9/10 times I’m going to use a rocks glass like this.
Tulip
Ah frankly, it depends on the Complexity, Nose, Palate, Finish, and value of the Whiskey.

won’t help your bet but i go back and forth from rocks glass to glencarin both neat
This is me too.
I like a splash of water and sometimes a little ice, so I’ve always used a rocks glass. I thought the tulip glass was intended for neat whiskey, right?
Small tumbler, no ice for me. Since I have a large nose I find a glencairn is a little awkward to use and forces fumes right up my nostrils. I find large tumblers to be unnecessarily showy if you aren’t using them with a giant ice cube or a cocktail.
(The whole point of a glencairn is to trap the fumes, the opposite of sticking your nose in it like you would with a red wine glass)
