A 60% salary increase in your current agency will take the rest of your natural life, lol. Take the money and be judicious about your own learning agenda.

You aren’t obligated to anyone or any company. Do what’s best for you. If you leave you’ll be replaced, and to be honest, whoever they hire will probably not be as good as you but they’ll be making more money. Being appreciative to a manager is great, and when you leave you should tell them as much and stay in touch bc they’ll be a great part of your professional network. But don’t stay because you have a good manager and support at work. That should be the bare minimum.
I started out in-house & now agency side, but I learned that I can grow anywhere if I respectfully question things. In-house I kept researching & pushing myself + kept bringing new ideas to the team that they even wanted to create a new role for me since I wasn't just copywriting. But I wanted some agency experience before settling down in-house & now I'm a bit more boxed in my role, but I'm still finding ways to question & stretch, which my CD really values since I bring fresh perspectives. A lot of it has to do with your team & boss, I've been lucky in that department. I'd say, go for it!! 60% increase in pay, hell yeah!
Thanks for this!
I really like my team, but friendly work banter does not pay my ever increasing bills 🙃 I’m learning stuff but it’s not an environment that really values ideas. I don’t really feel that I’ll flourish here long term.
