I have a handful of certs and I would say no
When i was in industry everyone wanted to get CPSM certified... in consulting no one gives a crap
Certs are much more of a thing if you work in tech or tech consulting. If you do S&O flavored things people A) don’t care or B) assume you’re covering for having no supply chain real world experience
I found them helpful when I transitioned to industry.
Helped me cut through the consulting bs to understand baseline practices and it also gave me credibility to fight the allegations of not enough experience.
Also I focused more in the logistics side of the world so the certs helped round out my knowledge.
I did... it was the one that added the least value for me. Since that was my core skillset I didnt get anything from the process
