I've been confused for the last few months. Trying to see what I could've done differently. In my opinion nothing. I worked in my assigned building for 33 days. (60 days total with the company) Day 1 of entering the building I received resignation notices from tenured employees. I asked why they were leaving and received generic responses. I began replacing those who put their notices in. A week after their departure I was let go because I didn't ask them to stay. Received a severance. Thoughts?

How did you learn those skills, and what types of documents do you speed read in practice? I’m an application analyst in the midwest for a small CAH. I was hired into this position at $27.15/hr and have now worked here for a year. I’m curious how my salary compares with others working in the midwest. My primary responsibilities are systems/HIE integrations using Meditech, HL7 transfer, SQL report writing, and user administration (just to name a few).

I have a new employee that started last Monday, unfortunately it’s not going to work out. Long story, but we’re fairly certain the individual is using Meth and appears to have started/restarted fairly recently. I work with physicians, so it’s a consensus. We have to terminate employment, but what ethical obligation do we have? Two young children at home and no spouse. This is weighing heavily on us.
