I’ve been doing this for 10 years and today I was looking for something and came across a presentation I created for a prospect back in 2021. I looked at it and cannot stop wondering WTF happened to me. Feel like I peaked then. I had a great attitude, was happy, top performer, and the list goes on. Ultimately left in 2023 and am at a different firm but feel like all my passion has been gone since 2022 and now all I do is punch the clock. Anyone else go through this? How did you get back to

It's called burnout. You probably pushed yourself too hard early on. I'd slow down your progress and focus more on your personal life for a few months.

I rediscovered my passion after taking a year to only do the bare minimum work to get by.

This taught me 1. My bare minimum is still impressive to my leaders, and 2. I do better work when I am enjoying my personal time to the fullest.

Yep, been there done that. I just left last year. Honestly, when this happens to me I typically leave for a year to have a break from it all yhen come back.

In theory but there are so many more factors that wear you down over time like water over a rock.

It’s always interesting looking back at yourself.

Are you working remote these days or do you get into the office still?

Was going through this in 24, turned out to be anxiety driven depression. SSRIs did the trick for me! I'm slowly getting motivation back and showing up for my team and client like I used to.

Maybe work is not challenging enough or may be you are more focused on personal life.Whatever it is, we all go through such phases and over time zeal to thrive at work comes back.Let it be and enjoy this cool phase of life.

Been wondering that myself. 😞

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.

Hi everyone.
Just reached final on-site round for a Senior Manager position in the logistics department. Role is for Amazon UK. Recruiter is asking me now for my expected compensation (base salary + total comp) via email. Any idea what to aim for?

I don’t know the level but was aiming £80k base, +15% bonus. If I don’t fall under their budget, would I automatically be removed from candidates?
Any tips are appreciated!

I was supportive of Lori when this virus first started but her actions since have dwindled my support of her. I don’t expect her to make every decision correct nor do we have to agree with all of them. I believe she should be correct around 75 percent of the time but I believe she is in the 50 percent range. I know everything doesn’t fall on her shoulder but things haven’t been great as of late. Hopefully they figure out something soon.
