But all of sudden got mail from hr saying that my profile is kept on hold. Any possibility that I will receive offer letter or it will be in hold forever? Meantime can I attend interview for other positions in hcl?

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

I have been having this same feeling. I’ve even had multiple IT jobs that were all totally different. I’ve been burnt out at least 3 times in 11 years, and I can’t imagine continuing for another 30.
It’s hard when the money, even at the beginning, is so much better than even the top salary in almost anything else I could pivot to.
I’m even to the point of wondering if it would be better to go teach STEM at a high school somewhere.
I want to add that IT in general has a high burn out rate. It’s usually a pretty thankless job where people only tend to talk to you when something is wrong, and don’t recognize you when everything is going smoothly.
I believe it is. Fully expecting it to look markedly different 5 years from now than it does today, but that holds true with just about every profession. AI concerns are real, I just don't see a future where human involvement is entirely stripped from the process.
It’s going to look different. The job 10 years ago vs. now looks completely different. Changes and learning are what keep it interesting for me.
