Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

My dad, who spent his whole career in the insurance industry, worked in an Amazon warehouse from the age of 62 until he ultimately retired.
A career is whatever you make of it! Maybe now is time to swing for the fences and chase your dreams
A good way to gain “experience” in a new category can be volunteering for nonprofits that need those services. I helped a colleague build experience in marketing (the field they wanted to pivot to) by showing them free online courses and connecting them to a local small nonprofit that was in need of help part time. He was able to add both the training certificates and experience to his resume in 90 days and got a full time marketing job a month later.
What interests you!?!? I would say follow your heart, as cheesy as that sounds...Is there any field that you've wanted to break into?!? I say, don't let your lack of skills limit you! You could seek training and/or certification or see if you can learn on the job...Talk to someone in the industry already. I have heard that some of the most fulfilling careers are those that are outdoors? Honestly, I've considered landscaping myself! Now, I'm trying to talk my husband into going over the road for a couple years? I am craving adventure!
I took a different approach! Started some freelance work on the side, eventually grew it to replace the job income. Lots of PM gigs out there. Have u done anything outside the career? If u build up a nice portfolio might be a nice way to ease into partial or soft retirement.
Im in the process of that now. Im 50 and have been a business owner for the past 20 yrs. I cant even get an interview in the field I want. Its really tough. Age is the main factor. Most companies do not want to train a person they think isnt in for the long run.
I’ve just pivoted into the world of digital download products and almost ready to launch. ChatGPT has helped massively in the creation of my products. I’m 59 and know that ageism is a huge factor, so it’s time to create another income stream and not rely on a job
