I’ve been in my current role for about 4 years now (working 7 years). Had a large bump in salary early on ($50k to match another offer I got). Since then base salary has not gone up but bonuses increased slightly. I made two moves due to my husband’s work and the firm has been accommodating. I mostly wfh now. I have two small kids and again they are pretty flexible. I’m generally happy but am getting a little bored and concerned about my future growth in the firm. Time to move on or ride it out?

No increase in salary in 4 years?

Has the firm increased your rates during that time? If so, that is bs.

A cost of living adjustment every year should be almost a given.

like

Basically yes. Bonuses increased but overall no real movement. Their position was basically well you moved to lower cost of living area and went remote.

Unless you have a clear path to partnership, and desire to be a partner at that specific firm, you should be moving after 2-3 years as a rule. You are leaving money on the table staying longer than that. Especially if you’re already underpaid.

Remote = less overhead for the firm.

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. This was a somewhat good move for me until I consider missing out on commission each month that was more than my salary. (£25k salary, over £2k per month commission)
How do I go about raising this concern? I believe I should be paid more now and at least change my job title?
