Anyone with insight on Tyson Mendes?
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

I definitely get that way when I'm the road to being burnt out and usually means I need some time off. Which can't always happen. I find that taking more micro breaks during my work and getting up and taking a short walk helps keep me more focused in general. I fight with myself to actually do it but I'm trying to get better by using a pomodoro timer to remind me every 50 minutes (then taking a 5 min walk or break and work on a tiny puzzle). For certain things like travel arrangements, especially complicated ones, I'll make myself a tiny list of what I need, then compare what I've got vs that list. Meetings I just triple check that I've got everything set up right.
I was a professional proofreader, writer and editor once upon a time. Something one of my favorite college professors taught me was…once you think you’re all done and double checked everything, read it backwards. You’ll catch things software doesn’t and other things your brain automatically fills in and tricks the eye. Worked pretty good and he was the strictest grammar teacher ever (one mistake, automatic B, two C and on down!).
Change the font and color in a Word document before you paste into an email. Use the dictation feature in Word. And read it backwards, from end of paragraph to top of paragraph.
One trick that helps me is using tools like spellcheck or Grammarly for the basics. But when it comes to dates or specific details, I’ll often write everything down on paper first, just to make sure I’m not overlooking something. Taking a moment to step back and double-check with a fresh mindset helps a lot, too.
Print it out and read out the paper aloud! Or copy into word and put on headphones and listen to the dictation :)
Good suggestions!
