Wages for consulting much higher in Germany 🇩🇪
Although important factors, for this particular question I’m not interested in WLB or net income, i am interested in “relative” income. I guess a different way to ask what I’m looking for is by example. In Chicago if you are a Consultant you can afford to live in a sexy new construction building, go on a few nice vacations each year, go to nice restaurants whenever you feel like it and still save a healthy amount. Can you afford the same “relative luxuries” while consulting in other countries?
Impossible in London
Very possible when I was in Singapore. Never really thought about how much I was spending vs saving but ended up saving quite a bit without even trying.
In UK it’s the same multiple of average wages, but average wages are much lower in UK than USA.
