I’ve been working at this medium size firm in the conveyancing department for 8 months now, and have been doing this intake position for 4 months now. Part of my job is to follow up on outstanding documents, and there’s one lady who helps me sometimes but she doesn’t tell me when she’s done so, and I end up looking silly for sending the second request. Should I be the one asking her what she’s done first or should she be informing me of her assistance?

So I was a 5th year associate in nyc making 100 k a year 2k billable hours..
