I’ve gotten pretty senior at a frankly average shop and am desperate to leave. The work is incredibly dull and I can’t put any of it in my portfolio for a myriad of reasons. I don’t mind taking a role as a senior rather than an ACD but I’m worried my portfolio is not up to snuff. What’s the play here? Do some spec work? Do I stay as a solo or find and Art Director. I’m so lost and bored.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?
