It shouldn't be a problem maintaining the relationship, assuming you've gotten along so far. Just stay in touch and check in with her and let her know you're interested in continuing to work with her. Obviously, it will be up to her, if she believes you're a worthy candidate it's safe to assume she'd want to continue with you.
Be friendly, communicative, and respond when she reaches out. Let her know exactly what you're looking for and always follow through with what you say you'll do. That's pretty much all a recruiter asks for.
Have you asked the recruiter that? Every recruiter is different, but we tend to want to stay in communication of people we like, we see progress or we see opportunities. I would reach out and let them know.
