I’ve realized I can’t stand toxic work environments anymore. The constant negativity, lack of transparency, and leaders who don’t value people—it drains the energy out of me. No matter how much effort you put in, it feels like the culture swallows it whole.



For those who’ve been in similar situations, how did you break free from toxic workplaces? Did you make a clean exit, set boundaries until you could move on, or find ways to shift the culture from within?

Considering the recession and US market scenario, help me understand if it will be a good move to join BlackRock OR should I continue with Walmart with the current compensation.

McKinsey referral system glitch?

I got a referral from an EM over a month ago. He says my candidate status showed "turned down" immediately following the submission. He suspects it was because the status from my previous application to McKinsey over 2 years ago got pulled into the system automatically. I’ve been in my position with the Federal Government for over six years. I have never received a grade increase for the time that I was there, yet all of my reviews have been favorable down to me being able to receive monetary bonuses. Just recently I asked my supervisor why I haven’t I received a grade increase, she said my title doesn’t call for one. Any suggestions on how I should handle this matter? Thanks.
