I've spent all my adult life in retail/sales/customer service. I've had my health/life insurance license for almost 10 years. I get mentally drained quickly in customer-facing roles. I'm too slow for fast-paced work. I'm terrible at multitasking, easily overwhelmed. I'm in school for a writing degree. Considering a move across country. No idea what to do about work while in school. I just want something quiet, where I don't have to be friendly all day.

Focus on quiet, structured, low-interaction roles that leverage your skills: insurance back-office, remote admin, writing/editing, research, transcription, or records work. Remote or part-time roles are ideal for balancing school. Knowing the type of work you want to do is half the battle to getting it.

Always looking for licensed and proficient back of house talent. We are currently looking for people who love to. train. That is an example of options with other brokers who need assistance and support.

This is ideal. I remember in my first two training classes, first in member services for UHC and then for my insurance producer license when I started with Aetna, since I did so well and worked quickly, I was always the one who was asked to help those who were struggling - either with navigating the agent portal or other computer literacy issues, or with agent and insurance-related things they didn't understand. I loved it. That was what made me want to go to work every day. Then, once I was on the phones, I burned out quickly and dreaded going to work.

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.

TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)

TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)

Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
