I’ve started a personal revolution where I keep my camera turned off during internal status meetings, and the pushback from HR has been wild. They told me it’s a performance issue and that I’m not demonstrating presence, but I literally just want to eat my cereal without twenty people watching me chew. Like I hate watching other people eat or drink on camera. I’m still hitting all my deadlines and executing campaigns flawlessly, so why does my face on a tiny grid matter so much? Is it a hill worth dying on, or should I just buy a ring light and mask my misery?

Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ?
