I’ve worked 2 years at PwC. My goal is to get an MBA from a good school and put myself in position to go MBB, EYP, S& etc. I heard MBB is the best chance you’ll have to have employer pay for an mba. In this case wound it make sense to try to apply for a BA level position with one of them?

My wife and I are looking to buy a place but most the public schools in the South Bay are rated terribly. It’s good to note we don’t have kids yet but are trying to think longer term. Are schools even considered in the resale value of a house? Thoughts and insights appreciated!

Moving from a boutique (<30 employees, MBB competitor) to the strategy practice of a Big 4. Have only worked for boutiques in the past, so I’m expecting there to be some major differences in terms of working style.

What are the major differences and ‘watch outs’ you would point out to me? Could be anything from culture, to red tape, to compliance etc.

How do you actually pass the Oracle Certification exams? The training videos are, let’s be honest, complete garbage. Is there some studying resource I’m missing?

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.
