When you make a manager dummy
Plot twist 😂
But seriously - in August assuming you’re going to make manager
Yup always August and always just sneaks up on you since there’s no formal announcement or anything. You’ll just wake up one day and it’ll be in your Skype already
Official title and salary change is end of August by green light is end of May. Many people change their LinkedIn title once they get confirmation in May.
I’m performing better than the president of the US. I’m going to change my title on LinkedIn now.
Thanks guys!
End of aug
So if I want to apply to jobs that are at the manager level - should I wait until title change or should I just apply after June when we officially know
If you are pretty sure you are getting promoted you should change your title on LinkedIn and your resume now.
D6 but if they know they are getting promoted and already working in a manager role then they should change their title. Why let the firm hold you back when you know you’re already performing at the next level? I mean frankly if you are in a manager equivalent labor category then you have every right to take that title officially even if it doesn’t “change” in outlook.
All title changes are effective in August. There's no clear guidance that I've seen as to when you can start using the new title. I've seen a lot of people transitioning starting from when they were informed of the promotion, while others wait for the official internal email announcement.
August homie
You can’t claim you are a manager until you are, so end of August.
Thanks team!
