I got a GMAT waiver from the mba program I’m applying to due to COVID-19. Does it decrease my chances of admission since I don’t have a reported test score even though I got a waiver?
I exited to Google a few months ago. I’m enjoying my Strat role, based in Mountain View. However I still have thoughts of an MBA, mostly because it feels like I’d be missing out if I didn’t do one, not like I actually need one. I just turned 25, so I’ve got a little time. Curious to hear your thoughts if I should do one or not.
Can anyone recommend someone who reviews MBA essays for a fair price? I don’t think I need a full consultant. I’ve had friends review but would love to have someone a little closer to the process
Anyone work with Eli David and/or Ivy MBA and know their costs/packages? Were they good?
Is it worth it to quit my 100k job to go to mba NYU in finance/business analytics? Program costs 150k and avg grad from NYU mba makes 130k. Any mba NYU grads here?
In my application I said I wouldn’t be taking sponsorship and instead need an MBA to pivot into X. I’ve now decided to take sponsorship. Will this have any ramifications? Will anyone actually care?
Deloitte pushing start dates from August to January. Graduating MBA with 6 figure debt and a ton of additional financial obligation. I’m devastated. I know I should be grateful but damn it’s hard.
Have the opportunity to go attend a non-M7, top 10 MBA this year with 1 YOE. Full tuition scholarship. Worth it, or too early and bad timing?
Is going through the MBA application process going to help me help my kids get through the college application process? Trying to find the silver lining 😊
On a waitlist for an MBA program that specified we should only provide “significant” updates for the admissions committee to consider (GMAT scores, promotions, etc.). They reached out to inform me that they’ll be reviewing the waitlist shortly, and I should send in any updates ASAP. I’m not up for promotion (promoted right before I applied) and am not planning to retake the GMAT... should I still send something in addition to confirmation that I’d like to remain on the waitlist?
Has anyone successfully gotten an exam waiver for their MBA application? Looking at Carnegie Mellon’s online program and don’t want to spend time studying for the GRE/GMAT
passed the cpa exam. now what? does nasba email me? i know i need to take an ethics course
Best MBA programs for Product Management?
Torn between Columbia vs Wharton E-MBA. Short term goal FAANG L7. Please help me with your guidance
I really don't have time to take my CPA exam coming up. Going to lose one in the next couple of months. Client work is extremely demanding and yes I've talked to manager but the work is still there.
What carries more weight if you’re looking to break into leadership: MS from Columbia, or MBA from USC?
All else equal aiming for top MBA- better to be a big fish in small pond (top performer at boutique tier 3/4 firm) or middle performer at a Tier 2+ with better name recognition?
Thoughts on the iMBA at Illinois? Worth the 22k? I’m on track to Senior Manager and can’t justify two years off to pursue a top MBA, or spend over $100k for a top part-time MBA. Especially with a kid.
Finished with the CPA exam 🎉

Nice! The post animation looks good!
Post the biggest lies in consulting. I'll start: "Make sure to accurately log your hours."-HR on Orientation Day.
Tell me if I’m missing something here. In consulting, you sign up to work yourself to the bone for 15ish years at well below market pay for the chance of making partner where you will still be somewhat below market for another 10 years working yourself to the bone for the chance at maybe being a senior partner for 10 years making decent money while still working insane hours all while paying for your boss’s salary and pension and their retired boss’s pension. What about this is appealing again?

Recently inherited ~$5m and finding it very hard to focus on my career. Seems like anything I save is pennies - any ideas on staying motivated?
New senior flies in a day late, busts into the room with no apologies, and tells me (the only minority & female in the room) that I should get the coffee before the manager comes. I'm the manager. 😏
Without saying your age, what is something you remember from your childhood that a younger person would not understand?
When I landed at the Newark airport and proceeded to Boston in 2005 I had just landed in this country with $ 325 in my pocket and was on a student visa. I racked up $ 100,000 in student loans over the next few years. Paid it all off by 2010 and today our net worth is $ 2.2 million projected to close at $ 6 million by the time I retire. Work hard. Stay humble. You can do anything in this country with capitalism and free enterprise.
Had a cringeworthy joke moment on Skype today (lots of crickets). I rarely tell jokes and probably won’t again 😑. Let’s hear the most cringeworthy things you’ve said during a Skype meeting.
