I've worked as an AM in eCommerce for 12 years. 5 of those were a hybrid AM/PM role. I created the PM end to end process for our internal Creative agency and helped train the incoming PMs for 2 years. I've also been a marketing analyst and marketing coordinator.

Most of my job searches have been for marketing PM roles. I've been declined interviews and told that I don't qualify for Creative or Marketing PM roles. So I started my own biz. Now I'm the CEO, CMO, CTO, COO, CFO & Lead Project Mgr!

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I’m thinking about making the switch myself but I don’t have a digital background.

Is getting your PMP certification worth it financially?

I currently work on the account management side at an agency and looking for some professional development tools/courses to help our account managers (and myself) with project management skills. Anything you would recommend? I know about Google’s course. Anything else?
