Always ask for more.
Kinda random but related tangent but this is the second non-tech Google offer on this bowl in a day that just seems.. low?
The hours and benefits probably more than make up for it but from a TC only standpoint seems so underwhelming.
Yeah, my bad for leaving out the last part - saying it’s ‘low’ is definitely is a first world problem when not in context with the post + this app.
Agreed it’s a very high comp and hoping to get something similar if/when I go to Big Tech 🤞
If you ask for more, and they say No, let me get this offer plz lol
Its also great that he lists his projects in Meta and US Navy 🤔🤔
Try negotiating for more. They're unlikely to budge on base but try asking for more RSUs
What’s your current role / tenure at McKinsey and background before that?

What’s your Geo? And what’s your level?
Average package for L6 in 2022 is $375k (230k/46k/105k) base/bonus/Y1 grant. But this is in SF/NYC only.
Hi Google 1, what would be an average package for L4 in SF for strategy/ops?
What level are you at McKinsey?

What’s the split and yoe?
OP, I'd try to ask for additional 20k on RSU.

Think this is below avg for L6 S&O, although can vary by which part of S&O
Is this S&O or other similar function, eg ProdOps?
This is 40-50k short of what I've seen
Seems low for L6. I just got 315 for L5. Google will go above range if you have a competing offer fyi
How much were you able to bump this up from?
Where’d you end up landing here OP?
I just got turned down for an L6 S&O role. Going to go cry myself to sleep thinking that could have been my salary. Hope you appreciate the offer.

Sounds a bit low. But your call on whether its worth the salary drop to work less hours and focus on the other parts of your life
Also....my guess is that you will double your salary in 2.5 years
How do you get your foot in the door with Google? Just applied to some jobs in ATL there but feel like applying online isn’t enough
Can you share a bit about your background? Looking at S&O roles at Google as well, and curious I’d be well positioned. If this is too public of a forum, let me know if I can DM you? Thanks!!
