Just made Mgr. Idk how much longer I can do integrated SOX audits in Big 4. The PCAOB is going harder than ham, and I just want to be one of our clients, pretending I have no clue what I’m being asked or why. I’m wondering how much longer I should hold out before I price myself out of industry, or if there is more earnings potential if I wait until Sr Mgr.

Have any designers with 10+ years experience successfully been able to pivot careers within the industry (without taking a pay cut)? It seems near impossible to make a switch without having the exact experience in a particular category. You would think design skills are transferable for the most part 🤨

Pros: Good work culture, Varied Type of Projects, Exposure to US markets
Cons: Kind of back end work sometimes

EY-Parthenon:
Pros: India Market, Strong Clients in India (both corporates and start-ups), Front End
Cons: Heard culture isn't great, Not that much variety in projects

Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance. But suddenly today I received an email that my candidature isn't suitable for the role and they're keeping my profile in the database. Does this mean they'll call me if there are openings with some other project?

My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

I’m getting put up for manager a year early. I have PPMD ,SM, and M support. Pretty much support from all the key individuals on my team and in my service line. Since it is a year early if i don’t get promoted this round I know it’ll come mid year but I do expect a good salary increase still without the promo. If I don’t get the promo nor a salary increase that I’m okay with, how do I let my partner know that I will begin to entertain outside offers? some of which have offered the manager role.

Mid year promotions, I found out you need to make your own case for it rather than the firm coming to you. If you think you’re ready make sure you speak up!
