Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

How old are you? Do you not remember all the gap dancing videos before this?
There’s a clear connection between the freedom to move in clothing and showing people dancing … and it’s an approach that’s been used and overused for decades.
They also made a version with Troy Silvan and it quickly went viral on TikTok because dancing videos suit the platform. I’ve seen tons of people covering the dance and making memes about it. Plus the strategy of using hip young celebs to make a brand feel cool has been around since forever.

No? This is a perfect ad. It was very well received on TikTok, which most ads cannot do.
at that time, this song/sound was trending. So collaborating with Tyla and Jungle (the song makers) was very fitting + does all the communicating😊 it was kinda clever

It’s a nice evolution of their brand from a time when business was better
All your comments make sense. I clearly was in the disconnect...
fashion ads work differently from ads in different categories. you’re trying to evoke a really emotional response rather than prove anything specific about a product. esp because midtier brands like the gap are up against cheapo products from shein and temu and amazon, having people even think about them as a cool brand will help
People, especially young people, don’t want ads that feel like ads. This does a fantastic job at that.
I actually really liked this one. They had a matching page on Gap’s site that featured all the models dancing per item.
