Curious about your experience (culture, remote-friendliness, etc.), recommendations for interview prep, and any other tidbits you might have to share!

(Gonna post this in the general SE bowl but figured I'd ask the ladies specifically as well)

Technically, I'm not a college student anymore because I just graduated in December. I am having trouble finding jobs within my field (Communications with little experience in marketing). I've gotten plenty of interviews, but none of them have made it past the first formal interview (phone screening then interview). Any advice?

Got contacted by a McKinsey recruiter for experienced hire interview (position I applied for) and she connected me directly to the partner due to my domain expertise. Partner liked my expertise and gave thumbs up. What would be the next step? Do I need to go through other interviews (exp/case interviews) still or does this mean process is being expedited since my area of expertise is in demand?

I have total 11 years of experience in IT (Enterprise applications:Oracle Weblogic) and 4 years in DevOps, Git, Google Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes. Currently working with Accenture India. I have been trying for almost a month in LinkedIn (applying for jobs as directly messaging recruiters) for opportunities in London, however not getting any positive response/interview calls.

Do recruiters or hiring managers care if you provide an "optional" cover letter? Do they even look at these?

My yoe is 3.6, but the interview is scheduled role "Application lead project". Is this normal?

Are there any chances they might reject me as the interview is for lead role while my YOE fall in senior analyst / analyst role.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. I do an hour workout and split it between 10 mins cardio and 50 mins strength workout. Q - do you do cardio first or last? I do it first, but see a lot of folks at the gym do it in the end. Any benefit of one vs the other?
