LA agencies with good work/life balance and decent pay?

Saatchi, Team One, RPA are all very chill places where a 40 hour week is pretty typical.

Yes, RPA is very solid at work life balance.

The best: Deutsch LA. You still get some late nights and weekend work but generally it’s been better than some of the other shops I’ve worked at in LA The worst: TBWA/Chiat/Day LA. It did not have good work/life balance at all, but who knows maybe it’s better now from when I worked there. (This was 2 years ago). The in between: 72 and Sunny & Anomaly is slightly better than Chiat. Heard through the grapevine: Saatchi and RGA is decent work/life

Hey! If you’re open would love to pick your brain on Deutsch; interviewing there.

Deutsch has good hours? Since when?

Maybe it depends on the account?

Wunderman Thompson isn’t the best work, but they need writers and the work life really is not bad. Some good creative opportunities coming in and you could probably name your salary.

Hey CD1, I’ve just relocated to LA & considering applying at WT. Could you share more about the brands? I’ve heard the benefits are very old school.

What do you think is total comp for IB right out of MBA at a near top firm?

What would be a good salary for a project manager (3+y exp) in agency environment in NYC?

Sometimes I feel like my boss takes "coaching" a little too far. He's all about "breaking me down" in order to "build me up". He's told me things like my voice is too boring when I present, or that I didn't do enough in my last role, suggesting that I wouldn't be in his team if it weren't for him in team meetings. Yesterday he asked me to call someone (on a non-urgent topic) who was on DND, and when I told them I'd call them later, he mimicked me. Am I being too sensitive?

Slalom 🐠: Tell me about the Client Service Leader position. What does this equate to on in the traditional firms (ACN, B4). Also, any ideas on comp other than Glassdoor would be helpful. Thanks!

What kind of work can you do on a B1 visa in USA ?

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

Are jobs in Transformation (mainly digital trans) desirable? Do they pay well? I’m very confused on what would be a good consulting exit if I don’t want a classic FAANG.

I’m 28 weeks preg & haven’t has a job since December. I was in final rounds with 3 companies when COVID forced hiring freezes. Torn on whether I should keep looking (continued)

Real talk 2: if you decide to have children, it’s entirely possible you will not like the child at first (or at various points). It’s a huge decision, and having complex feelings about the matter is completely valid

Anybody experienced getting physically sick often when in a toxic work environment?

I’m a current intern (extended from summer) whose signed an offer, then got an offer from another firm (so going midsize to Big 4), how do I go about telling them and can i break a contract like that?

I’ve been working in the HR space and am interested in pursuing an MBA to transition into Human Capital consulting/ Change management/ Talent technology and analytics. I’ve been seeing a few T30 schools that have a focus in those areas including Vanderbilt, Rice, BYU etc. Would it be better to pursue an MBA program highly ranked in that concentration area or to try to get into a school ranked higher overall? Thanks!
