I don't understand the post or the article. If they want to downshift their careers we need to stop them? To keep some metric at the level we think is just?

Instead of ladies be careful, why not: men, step up.

Exactly. Why add one more thing to our list? That was my same gripe with Lean In. We should be doing less and not stretching ourselves so thin every minute, instead focusing on time for value. Not trying to simply do more.

It’s not fear mongering. 2020 has been much harder for my wife than me with the kids around. Moms are irreplaceable.

I do but the kids still go to the mom for everything!

And what will sharing these stats do? You need to SUPPORT parenting not tell women to suck it up to keep our seat at the table.

Exactly. This was always my issue with lean in. All the burden is on us to push harder. I realize generations before us have done so much so we can have these opportunities but I’m exhausted with working and being a mom and a teacher and a cook and a housekeeper in the same day. Yes we can outsource. Then I manage the cleaning schedule (and tidy before the cleaners come), coordinate with the nanny, manage the school schedules. I’m sick of inevitability doing 2 jobs and being told this is feminism.

End rant.

This reminds me of the focus on "single mothers" rather than "absent fathers" 🙄. Imagine blaming the parent who actually stays and contributes

Lol "be careful if you've already married a lazy and inconsiderate asshole"

The post should be about how men/partners can and should be doing more to support working mothers, so that they do not have to feel pressured into downsizing just to accommodate a pandemic and shift in work environment.

Sounds like fear mongering

I mean this as a signal to women to be aware this is happening due to home schooling and zoom class. It’s up to men to support them.

I feel it. Rich husband > work. 😅

Hi everyone,
I have an upcoming Product Manager interview with BCGDV. HR told me it would be a 45 minutes Zoom call with a Product Director. I’ve heard there’s no case interviews, but they’re pretty vague about what the interview is like. Can anyone share their BCGDV recruiting experience and how I can better prepare for it? Thank you so much!
