I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

If so, you should be selling. I’m tired of Managers and Directors who can’t lead and Directors who do not sell. We promote people who do their current job right rather than look for the people who have leadership and sales(wo)manship qualities.
At end of day you probably didn't have a partner to advocate strongly for you. It probably had to be you or someone else. It's really bullshit. I'm sorry
I was here to see if any referral is possible but it seems everyone here is out to judge my performance and also to find out how and why it happened and if there was any warning signs. Also, I feel some of you here is also trying to sniff around and see if I am hiding something. This post is turning into something that I am not mentally prepared for as I have to conc on job search and see if anyone is willing to transfer visa in short notice. So, a request to all of you - if you don't have any referral please move on and try not to ask same questions over and over again in a different manner.

Does anyone know pwc is doing a big laid off? Or this is a one off case?
This happened to me two years ago when I was on a sponsored visa in the US - I had been receiving good feedback and above level snapshots, then got laid off without warning while I was on a project (and without care for my visa situation). I had taken a leave of absence from another county so I returned to that job. Not helpful if you want to stay in the US - unfortunately their weren’t any other visa options for me to try to find another job - but I understand what you’re going through. Really horrible.

A couple of years back PwC started laying off small groups of people over a period of time not to call public attention to the layoffs. The cumulative number was fairly significant. They were also making significant changes with internal support services to streamline and reduce people. At the time it was in line with an economic downturn, could be the same or the line of service is not profitable.

I am also in the same boat.My snapshot were good,since my partner does not have any projects,management trying to reduce their bench strength.I am having meeting with HR and my partner on Monday. Don’t know what will happen to me.Its scaring me every second.
P7: I really don't care. Made some good friends in the practice who I think will be colleagues for life. It's just the management who I don't want to draw attention as I don't wanna burn bridges even if I have been laid off.
