Would take if you want to move to tech. LinkedIn is good company. Honestly Faang will not pay that much more if at all. Not 1.5x as someone mentioned…that would be 300k plus which i haven’t seen. Google pays similar maybe slightly more, Facebook maybe slightly more. Apple/Amazon similar or less. Comp of ~250k plus or minus 20k is typical for this level of exit at large tech so you’re within range. At this level your getting basically same level (or slightly higher) and a bit higher comp than coming directly from mba which makes sense given your 1yr out from mba.
The highest comps aren’t in faang or in big tech, it’s in growth stage or recently public companies in B2B (eg Twilio) and even then takes some luck to find the right company.
If you’re not in an HCOL this is awesome, but still reasonable if Bay Area/nyc.
If you want to get comps within the 300 plus range you’ll either have to keep looking and get lucky or you need to get promoted then spend ~1yr at the next level for the mgmt experience, so another 2 years.

Reading this thread and SMH 🤦🏻♂️
If Guaranteed 50k in stock a year, so total comp would be 230, and you can use LinkedIn to go to a FAANG
Do it! Just joined the team and love it! In fact you may be on my team- dm me.
Guaranteed 230 today vs a maybe 240k in a year. Assuming you don't have to move, and you want to exit anyway, this is a good but not amazing opp.
I heard Linkedin pays slightly less than FAANG, but not astonishingly less.
Maybe 300k/yr all-in. Try to see what the next level up pays, or what you could make with another 2 yoe and target that for an amazing exit.
You are missing that you have a 15% annual bonus + salary+ Rsu. The 10k is a one year signing bonus. I just joined LinkedIn in biz ops so am familiar with their package
LinkedIn offer is better. Especially if those rsus are annual

Even if the director promotion is guaranteed, I would still take the LinkedIn role.
Coach
1. LinkedIn role is only 10k lower than the director role, assuming the bonuses
2. Director role is not guaranteed
3. Tech = less stress than consulting
4. Counting stock appreciation, the LinkedIn comp is probably better than the director comp
LinkedIn is a great company with awesome culture. You should take it
Those RSUs are great given how good the stocks been
How many YOE post mba? My friend makes $250k in Google bizops about 2 years out of mba (L5). L6 new hire at Google bizops would be about $330k
Congrats Op! I would take the offer, in this case director wouldn’t lead to significantly (if at all) better exit opps and it’s more stress than consultant.
S1 - director is EYP title for manager
EY is a sweat shop with very little impact, LinkedIn is far better. Always take tech jobs, tech advancements have not end in sight, it’s only going to get more complex.
I'm curious, did your offer contain a sign on bonus?
