How do I stop self destructing? 😢
Hi all, I just finished my recruiter phone interview today for “Risk Prevention Escalations Specialist, Global Risk Operations” role and it went well. I have an interview on Friday with the hiring manager. Does anyone know what kind of questions they’ll be asking? I only have 2 days to prep..

Yes mostly they are customer obsessed, i wish they are employees obsessed as well.
1 comes at expense of other
As ex-Amazon, no lmao. The only customers they care about are the external ones, not internal
Rising Star
Lololol of course not
I’ve been here now for just less than year and I love it. Best job that I’ve had in the past decade. However, I’m part of a small niche practice that may be different from the larger org.
Same. So happy I made the move.
Corporate here: yes love it.
Whatever they want but moving into corporate is easy and accessible. So don’t see why they wouldn’t love it. FYI Program Manager 1 (PM L4) is entry level.
Really REALLY depends on your LOB and Team
In my experience, yes. And I understand of course that it is completely dependent on your team.
No. It works for corporate employees and external applicants not internal employees or FC workers.
It depends on your role and team and what you want out of it. In my org / role essentially it’s: Want a top tier rating and to get promoted? You’re going to have to work a lot and probably extra hours. Ok with just being mid tier and keeping your job but not going anywhere? You’re work life balance will be fine. I burned the midnight oil to get a promo and now am scaling back more towards the latter since I’ve gotten it. But it’s largely what you put in. There is no shame being in the second group to me as long as you’re doing your job. Amazon will take as much as you can give it. Opportunities to move up, or you can scale back and just be a cog in the machine. So that is nice about my role you can decide when to exert the extra effort when the time is right (I.e going for a promotion).
we might be one of the few among big companies still WFH with no requirement to ever be in office. Speaking of HQ1 SDE’s.
I enjoyed working for Amazon however, it completely depends on your management. I attempted to transfer to a new department and it was night and day from the department I came from.
Work life harmony you mean
Yep was totally a joke, I was ex amazon
Yes WLH at Amazon is the best! I don't plan on leaving anytime soon!

I like working here and have great WLB for my type of non-tech job.
This is one of the newest leadership principles tho and I think it’s pretty undeniable that Amazon doesn’t do as great of a job manifesting this one as most of the others. Aside from WLB, our benefits here are paltry compared to most tech companies.
Cool! I’m also looking at non-tech job. Would you mind sharing your position with the company? (PM)
Hmmmm my SITE is horrible no advancement abuse of managerial authority, blocking transfer, and professional discrimination, the culture is unreal. Where I’m stationed at is a delivery station in PA
A11, I’m so sorry to hear that. Get out as soon as you can! Life is short
Mmm yes it is an awesome job , when you have bad managers that is another story
