Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Speak to HR about reassignment. Most companies would rather retain talent. Do you have an internal job board? Look on there and see if there’s anything you could be considered an internal candidate for.
I experienced the same thing with my old client. When I found myself on the floor crying with anxiety, I made up my mind that night that I was moving to another account. It wasn’t a question for me because my mental health is more important. I first spoke to my direct boss who luckily has always supported me and understood that it’s better to keep me at the agency than lose me. He advocated on my behalf but on the side, I poked around with other teams that I’d WANT to work on so I could devise my own plan. What I didn’t want was leadership putting me on a team that I wouldn’t be a good fit with. I ended up finding a gap on an account with people I knew I’d work well with and it worked out. Within 2 months I was fully off the toxic account. Always protect your peace and advocate for yourself

Reassignment is always an option. No agency wants to lose talent over clients that may not even work with the agency in a yr or so. Please talk to your boss and then go to HR if you don’t get the support you need. Mobility may take some time but they will likely work things out for you. Should you not be the only impacted team member (and I suspect you are not), your leadership should have a conversation with the client. Employee harassment, whether from internal or external forces, is never acceptable. It may require a delicate approach but there is a way to have a conversation with that client.
How senior is the client?
If it’s really egregious then your boss may want to raise it with your client’s boss… especially since they would need to slot another poor account person into that relationship.
Frame it as a move to expand your skill set. Companies love being able to brag that they offer everyone growth opportunities, and you get to stay where you are without staying where you are..

I vote reassignment if you don't have pull with leadership. I also vote that you get a fancier title with fifteen years experience ❤️
