hello fishes,
need some advice.
my current ctc is 16 with 5.6 years of experience. I was a contract hire and parent company wants to hire me.
company is service based company.
my current title is senior analyst but they want to make me manager.
they are skipping tech lead and team lead positions.
they are ready to change 5 days working from earlier 6 days working.
they are asking me my expectations.
we are on client location and there is no one above us. Also team is not technically sound.FSS
Does AAS pay the same as FDD?

The strike price of their options has now gone up so much that no matter how many options they give you, it’s now riskier coz you’re going to have to come out with a lot more of out of pocket. The options also vest over 4 years. Ex. They give you 50k options at a strike price of $8 that means to exercise 100% of your options you now have to spend $400k for the POTENTIAL of an upside IPO. The equity play was worth it when the strike price was down under $1. The equity play has now become a smoke and mirrors tactic so they don’t have to pay a higher base and bonus. Let me know if you have other questions I’ve worked there for three years and looking to get out actually.
I think they missed the mark on IPOing. They were golden at one point then decided to fuck it all up by acquiring structured investments, hanging on to distribution and then putting all the focus on launching an uncurated marketplace.
