A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

I have implementation experiences in SAP, NS and infor..
SAP - big market, well established. Job security is there. Its the biggest of the three and on my experience the engagement i had with my projects were limited. You’ll mostly not be working on the whole module (Materials Management for example) but more specific sub process under it. Its a big system so the exposure isnt as solid and longer to implement.
NetSuite - in contrast to SAP, need to handle 2 modules per project. Easiest to implement for me but the target market of the product mid- large sized business. You wont be exposed to the business process that much but on implementation practice you’ll be a pro. Also competitive market like sap.
Infor - this is best choice if we’re talking about balance of exposure and work. You own the whole module and also act as a technofunc for integrations or wricefs. Introduced me to business processes to industry specific, client facing. Most stressful compared to sap and NS at the start. Limited offerings depending on which country you are from.
There’s no specific training for all. Its all workbook and self instructed learning and some shadowing. You’ll learn as you go.
My advice, tech is always evolving and retooling happens all the time but the business process are mostly the same, will only differ per industry. As long as you have a solid understanding on how the business processes works, you wont have a hard time retooling and learning the software.. so go for exposure and experience and dont forget to enjoy the process. :)
P.s. Im not implementing any erp anymore. :)
I learned a lot at Infor especially when you get to work with the client onsite. Client’s expectationis very demanding compared to the two. I didnt expect it to be that challenging but i was so wrong.
Good luck on your chosen career path!!
