I would say option 2 for the choice of progression, but it all depends on what pros motivate you the most.
Chief
I would prioritise the option that gives learning, visibility, and credible progression, even if the pay is slightly lower. Early leadership signals and scope often compound faster than salary alone, provided the role is sustainable and well-supported.
