Is an Oracle SCM cert useful in this market? Compared to an AWS, Azure, etc. Just figuring out if i should spent time pursuing a cert and if it has marketable value in and out of consulting.
Considering a position at a known tech brand...how much stock options should I be asking for/how does it work?
Okay… all kidding aside, is there anything positive about KPMG? The internet and social media makes fun of them. My leadership makes fun of them. Other big 4 friends make fun of them. MBB makes fun of them. Do they do that bad of a job + have that many shady things going on?
Any advice on exit opps if I want to be involved in capital allocation (strategic M&A, divestitures, creating value, etc)? CFO track? More of a Corp dev role? PE portfolio companies could work?
Is the SPHR or PHR license necessary to pivot into human capital? I have a MBA from a Top 15 school. Any thoughts?
If anyone wants a referral in Deloitte USI for positions related to advisory, tax, audit, consulting, global and other areas, feel free to DM me.
I just pivoted to consulting (from audit) with plans to work in my firm’s int’l dev practice. Ik i need a masters (to work at the IMF/ WB in the future) but is there value in getting an MBA vs an MPA?
I work on two accounts. An account lead on another account left the agency for other opportunities & my boss wants me to take this position on as well. But, there is no raise or title change. #adlife
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Considering an exit opportunity at a higher level + much higher salary with comparable benefits to Deloitte in everything except parental leave which is 8 weeks followed by short term disability.
Hi Fishes, cleared all rounds of interview for Enabling Areas, I have 15 YOE, how much can be my ECTC and what role/designation should I expect ?
B4 STAFF/SENIORS (Any service line) - What does your firm do to match you with work experiences/projects that align with your career interests/preferences (Or, do they do this at all?) Is staffing all just based on your network and hoping for the best, or do any firms/service lines take preferences and skills into account? If so, how? EY Deloitte PwC KPMG
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
I am a 1-2 year lawyer in a large law firm (BigLaw non-US/UK) and feel like I am being under-utilised in my current team/firm. I think the team is too heavily staffed at the junior level which means I’m not getting enough experience for my level. It’s also saturated with competent mid level lawyers who seem to get all the good work before it trickles down. A position has opened at a competitor firm that I am considering applying for. Looking for peoples thoughts - is now the time to leave?
Rutgers MBA, go!
When you’re negotiating for an industry job, do you negotiate with recruiter or directly with hiring manager? Also, do you negotiate over phone or email?
My boss over promises and under delivers when it comes to her vision for the department and my role within it. I've given it a year and nothing has changed, time to throw in the towel and move on?
Interviewing with a B4 firm for a consulting role. They keep rescheduling (about three times now) the interviews with two PPMD...is this normal? Never had to reschedule this many times before. Already had one interview, but waiting on these next two.

I’m 3rd year senior at a regional firm, going all in to earn a promotion to manager next summer (July 2020), but I’m trying to determine what I should do if I don’t earn the promotion (cont.)
McKinsey & Company I had a 30 minute screen with a recruiter for a role in Risk. They said they’ll get back to me after speaking with the team. I was then invited to a phone case screen. Does the team you’re being recruited into actually screen your resume and make a “yes/no” decision?
Hey Fishes, trying to benchmark my salary here… senior associate, advisory, tier 2 city, big 4, 7 yoe in consulting, although less in the current community. What would be a good range?
Hi everyone, does anyone have any advice for someone who has been in the agency project management /production space for a couple years now but may be looking to transition into a more in-house brand management / client side role? (I think it’s time for me to be the boss now! Tired of the agency burn out)

So have a job offer from delta paying 80k and a job offer at eTrade offering around 110k. I like the position at delta much more, but I like the salary at eTrade. Any suggestions ?
After you’ve connected with a consultant on LinkedIn what’s the best practice for asking someone to give you a practice case? To balance respect someone’s time vs coming off as transactional. Should you first ask for coffee chat, then later a case or can you ask for a case in your first “chat”? I am prepping for MBB interviews but I know consultants work crazy hours so I don’t want to take up more time than necessary - what would you prefer? What is the best practice?
I want to exit to MBB but if that’s not a possibility what are the next best consulting firms? Looking for at least midsize firms (non-boutiques).
Does anyone have a virtual happy hour activity that was actually fun, other than drinking some expensed booze.
Had interview with company yesterday, told recruiter and interviewer I have other interviews going on. She said they’ll move fast and I’m moving on to next stage. Recruiter was supposed to (cont.)

IT Audit/Risk Assurance Associate here. Is it realistic to find a job that allows me to work remotely full time after doing my time working for Big 4?
Joining McK in a few weeks. Got the invite to sign up for the green AMEX Corp card with the option to upgrade to Gold or Platinum. Is the Platinum Corp card worth the upgrade ($550/year)? The only real benefit I see is the lounge access. Thoughts? McKinsey & Company
I’ve been asked to interview an engineer for a role at my company. They’ve already had an interview with the hiring manager so what questions should I be asking? I’ve never interviewed an engineer before
I may be paranoid - I have been having a runny, congested nose, with occasional sneezing. It got worse this evening. No other symptoms. I just saw midwife today and didn’t think much of it until this evening when it felt worse. They took my temperature there-no fever. Anyone have pregnancy rhinitis? Scared it’s Covid but I could also likely be overreacting.
M3A - 2-rated, only $3k base increase and $12k bonus (last yr $12k base increase, $8k bonus). Told the next step to get a large base increase is promotion. Is this bullshit to keep me hanging on?
