Anyone from MBB/T2 offices where there is no strict language requirements would like to share their experience?

Hi there, I will be completing 1 yoe in May 2022 and looking to join MBB's. My key skills are Aletryx, SQL, Excel with VBA, R, Python, Tableau, and Power BI. I am looking for some guidance from people working in Analyst roles at MBBs.

I’ve been in a grad job for 1.5 years. Looking to get into MBB at the 2 year mark. What level roles should I be applying for? Also, does anyone have any tips?

Anyone knows MBB manager salaries in Toronto?

Are MBB sponsored MBA students expected to return to their home firms for the summer between their two years? I know you're obligated to go back post-MBA, but what about the summer in between?

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?

Hey guys, I just found this group and I’m hoping for some guidance/advice! I’m hoping to get into one of the Big 4s or MBB and finally got a few referrals once joining FB. I am 29, have an MA in IOP, and 10 YEO. I have never worked for a non-Jewish company (despite trying pretty damn hard to get out) and I’m freaking out. I have no concept of normal professionalism, strategy for navigating the workplace and the real world in corporate USA,(cont. in comment)

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

Anyone have success cold applying for VC roles and not in MBB? Just submitted an app last week and they should be reaching out this week, but I’m not sure how long to wait before giving up…

I was doing some googling and I saw that PWC offers MBA hires 45k in comparison to MBBs at 70k +. Is this a bad joke? I can't imagine that PWC's target for MBA hires is widely different from MBB. In the US, the pay gap isn't that wide. Any reason behind this madness?

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. We are renovating a condo and the previous owner had two Crane toilets (not sure how old, but functioning although seals are old according to our contractor). Back outlet flour mount ones are the only options for the building, and one toilet can cost $300-$500.

We are redoing all the bathroom tiles and walls and debating what we should do with the two toilets. Would resealing the toilets extend the use life? Or should we just replace the toilets? Any other recommendations? TIA!!
